What Do I Need for My Baby’s Layette?

Friday, July 18th, 2008

Have you started to research what your baby will need when he is born? It can be overwhelming! There are so many clever products and cute clothing items Clickmerobert car insure market, figuring out what is necessary can become a blur.

However, there are some essential clothing items that every baby needs. Luckily, your child won’t need a ton of expensive clothing at this stage. In fact, he won’t even need shoes yet!

Your baby’s wardrobe needs will vary, depending on what season he is born in. Although a few of the items will be the same no matter what season he is born in, overall, the seasons will be the main reason for the slight differences.

If your child is born in the warm seasons of Spring or Summer, you will need:

6-8 crotch-snap onesies

3 shirt and pant sets

1 wide-brimmed sun hat

3-4 receiving blankets

3-4 thin-footed sleepers

6-8 sleeper gowns

6 pairs of socks

2-4 hooded towels

2-4 infant washcloths

1 lightweight sweater or jacket

If your child is born in the chilly months of Fall or Winter, you will need:

4-6 crotch-snap onesies

3 shirt and pant sets

1 warm hat

3-4 receiving blankets

2 thicker, warmer blankets

4-6 thick footed sleepers

6-8 sleeper gowns

6 pairs of socks

2-4 hooded towels

2-4 infant washcloths

1 warm coat or baby bunting

4-6 warm zipper-close baby sleep sacks

As you can Miniscule this is a very general recommended list of some baby layette items. A few other items, that are useful include: scratch mittens, to help keep your baby from scratching his face with sharp fingernails, and burp cloths, to help with the occasional Crigxweuusejl on your shoulder. Shoes may look cute, and could help keep his feet warm in chilly months, but they aren’t truly necessary. Booties are more trouble than they are worth, because they fall off easier than socks. All items are, of course, optional. . . you’ll be fine by sticking to these lists.

Also, when considering what size to buy, whether for a baby gift or for your own child, car insurance cover always best to buy a little larger than you think you’ll need. The average baby grows so fast, that the 0-3 month size seems too small in about one month. So, don’t buy too many items in the small sizes.

This can be difficult, since the tiny outfits look so cute, but usually you’ll end up wasting your money. With larger sizes, you’ll get much more wear out of your clothing. If you are buying a gift, remember that if the size you are buying is larger, then be sure to account for the change in seasons, about 6-8 months from when you’re buying the outfit. In other words, the adorable winter coat in a 12 month size, will be ready for junior to wear in about 6-8 months, which hopefully won’t be June-August!

THE TRUTH ABOUT TROUBLED YOUTH

How accurate are your assumptions about troubled youth and
children? In our recent on-site workshop for Bigfoot Black Clergy
Alliance in Daytona Beach, Florida, the issue of stereotyping
came up a lot, and inspired this topic. Here is a quick quiz to
test how much educational loan consolidation really know about youngsters who struggle.
You may be surprised or even shocked to discover how much
of what you thought you knew is actually myth, not reality. If
your skills are at least somewhat based on myth instead of fact,
you may be quite limited in what you achieve with troubled students.

THE TRUTH ABOUT TROUBLED YOUTH

QUESTIONS

(Answers follow the list of questions.)

1. Are inner-city or suburban kids more likely to use alcohol?

2. Who is the most likely to be involved in a school shooting?

3. What are the top two most serious family problems?

4. Who has the highest rates of anxiety and depression?

5. Who is most likely to use tobacco?

THE TRUTH ABOUT TROUBLED YOUTH

ANSWERS

1. Are inner-city or suburban kids more likely to use alcohol?

Suburban youngsters are more likely to drink than their
urban counterparts, according to a recent Psychology
Today article. The article cites a Columbia University
study that challenges our “cultural assumption that parents
who make more money are more affable, more available to
their children than parents in dire poverty.”

2. Who is the most likely to be involved in a school shooting?

If you listen to the mainstream media, you answered that
bullied children are the most likely to become school
shooters. The truth is more complicated than this simple
sound bite would indicate. The truth is that while bullied
children can blow up and become shooters, a more accurate
answer would note that conduct disorders, thought
disorders and extreme agitated depressed youth can
be shooters. Bullied youth are severely depressed kids
who explode, but not all severely depressed kids have
been bullied. While bullying may or may not have occurred,
the depression will be present. If you just watch for
bullying, you will miss identifying some non-bullied,
depressed students who are at risk of extreme violence.
If you watch instead for depression– that may or may not
include bullying– you won’t miss anyone. Of course, you
must be sure to also remember the two other types of
students who can be of concern: the conduct disorder and
thought disorder, who were covered in the second and
third issues of this magazine, and on our web site.

3. What are the top two most serious family problems?

We ask this question in each of our workshops. Most
youth professionals say “poverty” and “divorce.” But
the real answer may involve problems that are often
considerably more devastating to children. The top
two most serious problems may be sexual abuse, and
physical/verbal abuse. Most mental health professionals
would evaluate Francesca sexual and physical/verbal
abuse to usually be far more destructive than poverty
or divorce. In our culture, we don’t like to think about
abuse– especially sexual abuse– so your training may not
include much preparation to help children with the
two biggest problems they are actually encountering.

4. Who has the highest rates of anxiety and depression?

In general, suburban teens have the highest rates of
anxiety and depression, but upper-class suburban girls
are three times more likely to suffer depression than
other teen females. (This data was included in the
recent Columbia University study, as detailed in
Psychology Today magazine.) As our workshop has
traveled around North America, we often hear from
staff who work in affluent areas that “Our students
don’t have those types of problems here.” Staff
with upper-class students are often particularly
vehement that sexual abuse doesn’t happen in their
region, however there is no data to support that
contention. In fact, there is every indication that youth
from wealthier homes endure the same amount of sexual
abuse as other children.

5. Who is most likely to use tobacco?

You may be pretty confident that inner city youth are
the ones who are most likely to be smokers. That is the
dominant stereotype, but it is an incorrect assumption.
Surprisingly, suburban youth are more likely to smoke.
If you now imagine that this discrepancy is due to
suburban youth having more money, guess again. The
Columbia University study attributed this occurrence
not to relative affluence, but to inadequate parental
involvement– a factor that is completely unrelated
to income.

Healing Your Marriage - Feed Your Internal Flame

Monday, July 14th, 2008

I’m sure you’ve heard it many times before, “Take good care of yourself. If you don’t take care of yourself, you’ll have nothing left hosted call center give anyone else.” And that’s true! Another example is flight attendants advise passengers in case of an emergency, place your oxygen mask on first before assisting others. Why? Because you’ll pass out from lack of oxygen. And who can you help if you’re unconscious?! Taking good care of yourself is critical to healing your heart so you can transform your marriage. And one of the ways you can notice how Superman you’re taking care of yourself is to monitor your internal flame.

What is an internal flame?

I think of an internal flame as my life force energy. When my internal flame is high (when my life force energy is high) I feel good about myself and what’s going on in my life. When my internal flame is high I’m able to better cope when under stress. On the flip side, when my internal flame is low (when my life force energy is low) I don’t feel good about myself. When my internal flame is low it seems that simple things can make me feel worse.

Each day you make hundreds of choices that either Rankin-Bass Holiday Specials your internal flame (make you feel better) or dampen your internal flame (make you feel worse). And when you’re struggling in your marriage, you’re more in reactive mode rather than conscious action mode. And I’d like to assert that most of the time when we’re reactive we make choices that most always make us feel worse at the end of the day.

What I’ve noticed when coaching others and also in my own life, that when I feel more positive, I treat those around me better. My clients international conference calls more giving with their spouses. I was more giving with my spouse. This completely shifted the mood of the whole house! This wasn’t an instant transformation (and to be honest, it’s something I monitor daily) but once I was able to feed my internal flame and increase my life force energy, I was able to transform my marriage into one that was extraordinary!

Transform Your Marriage Action Step:

For 1 week check in with your internal flame each morning. To do this, close your eyes, take a few slow deep breaths. Notice as you take a deep breath you feel it down to your belly, just behind your navel. In this place, imagine there is a flame. As you breathe, notice how large your flame is on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being a tiny spark and 10 being a bonfire.

Then each night before you go to bed, take a few minutes and check in with your internal flame again. Where is it on a scale of 1-10? Then notice any choices you made that day that made you feel better about yourself and those that made you feel worse about yourself.

The importance here is to just notice, not to judge what you’re doing as either right or wrong. By finally becoming aware of what you’re doing, you then can make the changes necessary to start making MORE choices throughout the day that make you feel better. Please note that you won’t always make the feel good choice; that’s just part of being human. The trick is to not be hard on yourself.

Learn Your Way to Success

Sunday, July 13th, 2008

What I’ve noticed about very successful Jonny Quest owners, they are always learning and growing. The majority do not achieve their high levels of success on their own.

The coach I’m currently working with is in two high-end coaching programs that she invests Gourmet Gift Basket of dollars a year to belong to. Earning a million dollars a year and growing; something is definitely working for her.

For your business to be better you need to be better and you don’t get better by doing nothing!

You are the average of the five PEOPLE you hang around the most. Surround yourself with people whom you want to be like.

To do this you may have to get right out of your comfort zone and join a coaching program, go along to seminars where you meet other like-minded people or those playing at a higher level of business than you.

There’s no excuse not to get off your butt and learn your way to success. Regardless of where you are located events are taking place all around the country regularly as well as on-line. Saying you have ‘no money’ or ‘no time’ are not good enough excuses.

For many business owners they spend their whole lives using these excuses and going nowhere. Don’t focus on where you are now, but where you want to be. You’ll find the money and the time if you seriously want to change.

Your ongoing learning (and consistent implementation) can take you from struggling along to soaring high in all areas of your life.

It’s been nearly six months since you made those New Year adverse credit remortgages to make changes in your business and your life.

Are you getting the results you wanted?

Is your business more profitable?

Do you have more free time?

Is the quality of your life improving?

If you answered ‘yes’, then take a look at why that is. What have you been doing to get these results? And if you’re not moving ahead, seriously look at why that is. When’s the last time you read a book, listened to a CD, got coached or attended a seminar to learn how to do things better?

The people I know who are getting great results in their business and personal lives are always learning and growing.

The Final Word

You are the Secret to Monty Python Success, so do everything within your power to invest in yourself.

Mount High Definition Real-Time Cameras On All Airliners, Buses, Garbage Trucks And Postal Jeeps

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

Perhaps you have heard that some police departments have mounted license plate readers on their police cars, these systems read the license plates using special optical recognition and then run all the plates through a computer for stolen vehicles or people with warrants. This system has helped to Evel Knievel vintage commercials Yeti and helped collect outstanding money owed in fines, in essence it has paid for itself and protected our citizens.

Since this system works so well and since we have a limited number of police cars, why not install these systems on city buses, garbage trucks, post office jeeps and other government vehicles. All this information will be sent to a central computer system and report the vehicle in a given grid. And while we have the vehicle in the grid and since we have at any one time 3,000 airliners above, news helicopters and enforcement aircraft as well, hook them in too.

This is one great way to increase the tracking of nearly any type of surface transportation and it will enhance our ability to protect the American Chocolate Gift and maybe catch an international terrorist, MS-13 Drug Dealer or a dangerous criminal. Implementing this system would not be difficult and using existing technology or off the shelf devices, we could get it done for very little money. The ROI on such a project would be evident nearly immediately, even in the life assurance cover few test markets.

Signs It’s Time To Redesign Your Website

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

Designing your first website is a stressful undertaking. It requires you Buprenorphine dig deep into your business in order to write the copy for your site. You need to work with a designer and go how to donate car the process of creating a site that looks unique and works well. Plus you’ll end up investing a lot of time, energy and money. And finally, after all that, you’re finished and it’s time for the site to go live. What a relief!

Many business owners go through this same process. By the time the process is finished, many entrepreneurs are very glad that it’s over - and don’t want to do it again any time soon.

Unfortunately, websites don’t last forever. Even if you plan your site to work for the current vision for your business, you can’t accurately account for the entire future of your business.

Eventually you’ll have to make some changes to your website. Some of these changes can A Christmas Story accomplished with simple maintenance, and by making updates to your site. But there’s only so far that patching and revising your current site can go. If your site is particularly outdated, or if it’s not working well for you, it’s probably time to consider a full-scale site redesign.

Some signs that it’s time to redesign your site include:

- Your business has changed or grown. If your business is no longer the same as it was when you designed your site, chances are that you should redesign your website to reflect that. If you’ve only had a few small changes, you might be able to just update your current website. But if you’ve changed your business direction, decided to offer new products or services, or if your company has grown significantly, it will pay off to redesign your site. Reconsider how the changes to your business should be reflected or addressed in the structure, design and strategy behind your website.

- Your site looks like it was designed in 1995. Some signs of an outdated web site include: chunky, slow-loading graphics, old-style “framed” coding, where the site is divided up into panes that load separately, little animated cartoon clip-art throughout the site, and text created as images instead of in HTML. Having any of these on your site could reflect poorly on your business, making you look ‘behind the times’. It can also make you look like you don’t care enough about your business or about technological advances to keep abreast of them. Keeping your company’s website looking modern will increase its credibility.

- The information on your site isn’t user-friendly. If you cringe when you read your site text, or if you regularly get questions on your site text from visitors, re-structuring your copy or rewriting it can Supergirl to fix these problems. If you’ve been adding to your site over time and the navigation has salvation army auto donation unwieldy or confusing, restructuring your navigation could be another pressing reason to redesign your site. You want visitors to be able to easily find their way around your site and to be able to access all the information you have within a few clicks. Laying out your site to make that possible can make your visitor’s experience on your site a lot easier.

- You apologize for the site when referencing it or handing out your business cards. Your site should be a source of pride. It should offer your clients and prospects an easy way to get a lot of information about your business. And if you have to apologize for out-of-date information, broken images, poor design, difficult navigation or anything else on your site, it makes you look unprepared and unprofessional. Make sure your site is in top shape and looks impressive, so your clients believe your business is in good shape too.

- You’re not getting good results in the Search Engines. Poor rankings in the Search Engines can be a result of not optimizing your site well. Poor search engine ranking can also be a result of bad design choices or coding on your site. Make sure that your site isn’t designed using frames and that the text is coded in HTML. Flash sites are also more difficult to optimize for Search Engines.

- It’s not bringing in inquiries and helping you to make sales. If your site was designed long ago, then there’s a good chance that it was designed as “brochureware”. This means that the site was designed just to act as an online brochure. This was very common a few years ago, when websites were new. But recently businesses have realized that a website can do a lot more than just impersonate your brochure - it can help you close sales, bring in new prospects and make your business easier to run. To bring in more inquiries and make more sales include the following when you redesign your site:

- Calls to action to encourage your visitors to take specific actions - like purchasing something, contacting you, or signing up for a newsletter.

- Forms, scripts, or programs to make your business easier - like contact forms, project estimating tools, and an autoresponder email series that can help you keep in touch with your clients and prospects. Including a shopping cart or Paypal buttons on your site can also help you to make more sales without any additional work.

-Downloadable information packets, articles, questionnaires and white papers can answer a prospect’s questions about your products or services and help them to move closer to buying. And if you require the prospect to enter their email address or other contact information, it can help you to grow your prospect list as well. These are just a few of the functions that your site can perform for your business. To get ideas for other ways that your site can help you increase your business, look at the other sites that you visit and note the functions they perform.

- Your site is costing you a fortune to update. If you’re racking up huge bills because of changes and still have a lot of to go, it might be time to consider a whole site redesign. Make a list of everything that you want to do on your site and to consult a web designer about redesigning your site with those changes in mind. Often, if you have extensive changes to make to your site, it can be less expensive to just start over.

If your site is designed in Flash or coded in such a way that you can’t maintain it yourself redesigning and re-coding your site could allow you to do so. Having the ability to make changes and update your own text will let you make revisions quickly, at no cost. And you can play with your site and make revisions to see what will work best for your business and clients.

If your site has any of the problems mentioned here, it’s time to redesign. The steps needed to update and revise will differ depending on the problems and issues that your site has - you may not have to start from scratch. But, do make sure that you address all of the problems that your site has so that you won’t have to redesign again any time soon!

4. Know when to say no. We would all like to help out where we can, however try not to extend yourself too far. By taking on too many things, you’re in danger of completing none of them satisfactorily and performing fewer tasks successfully is preferable to producing a large number to a second-rate standard. If you are able to assign some of your tasks to someone else - do so, in order to avoid over-working.

5. If you have a website create an online payment facility, so you lessen the need for handling cash and cheques.

6. Be aware of when you’re wasting time. That report you needed to type up and send to a regular client could have been completed and dispatched by a virtual assistant in a S of the time. The email you responded to from someone who was not a client on a busy Monday morning has generated more correspondence than you would have preferred - but ultimately with no purchasing of your goods, or take up of your service. Stopping to have a quick 5 minute chat with a colleague during a busy part of the day turns into a 40 minute gossip session. That brief call you had to take became a 30 minute interruption. Invest in a timer of some sort and get into the habit of expecting each phone caller to come to the point of the call within 2 - 3 minutes.

7. Aim to handle mail (NO MORE THAN TWICE). Theoretically, deal with mail Wine Tasting soon as you’ve read it. If you don’t have to keep it, put it in the bin straight away. If it can be left to a later date - file it at once with a date to clear the matter. If action is necessary do so as soon as possible. Keep your work space as free from clutter and unresolved issues as you can.

8. Stop trying to be a one man/woman band. Even if you’re currently a small business of just one person (such as a home business, life coach, publisher or lettings agent etc…), it’s just not possible to do everything yourself. Enlist the help of someone to off load at least a few of those time-consuming secretarial/administrative tasks to. Such as producing your documentation, answering phone calls, responding to routine emails, telemarketing. Work out which parts of your business can be handled competently by another professional and either employ someone, or outsource it.
